Angel and Demon
Face to face,
Unusual results,
Start to take place.
No hesitation
On either part,
His darkness makes
A permanent mark on her heart.
Time slows to a stop,
And speeds by in a flash,
Meeting somewhere in the middle,
Fire and ice clash.
Days go by like years
Closer and closer,
Obvious to all,
As if their moves were written by a composer.
One night,
Tension building to a boil.
Both knowing its wrong,
They go together like water and oil.
Her silver lighting crashes,
Against his red hot flame.
Reason finally gives way to passion,
Suddenly sick of their previous game.
It wasn't enough,
To look and not touch.
Her halo is dented,
As he strengthens his clutch.
One small move,
To her meant so much.
Seemingly innocent,
But truthfully a mortal sin with every touch.
Was the demon affected,
By the angel's light?
She wonders now,
As he doesn't acknowledge that fateful night.
The angel prays,
For redemption to come at last.
But still watches, waits, and hopes,
That his love hasn't passed.

You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a long enough book to satisfy me.

To rise up roaring,
To fly above sorrow,
To see treasure gleaming."
